One of my favorite memories from being a kid is going to the mall with my Mom. We would go, just the two of us, and I’m sure we had some reason for going, maybe it was to simply beat the beat during the hot Los Angeles summer, but all I remember doing is hitting Claire’s, the Hello Kitty store, looking at the puppies in the pet shop, and getting an Orange Julius.
I couldn’t tell you what an Orange Julius was … was it orange juice? An orange creamsicle shake? An orange smoothie? All I can say is that it was delicious and I had to get one every time.
Well, I now avoid the mall at all costs, but I recently had a craving for an Orange Julius, so I decided to try to make one at home and I’m sharing my recipe for an Orange Julius Knock-off, or what I’m calling an Orange Delicious, with you below.Want to make one for yourself? After doing some research, I discovered that what makes an Orange Julius an Orange Julius is its creaminess and froth! It’s like a cross between orange juice and a frothy milkshake, but with more orange juice than milkshake.
