We aren’t huge football fans (I’m more of a hockey girl), but we do love to have a party and watch the big games! With the next Big Game coming up, I’m sharing a snack dip recipe and a couple craft tutorials with you that you can make for your Big Game party! Pringles are perfect for dipping during the big game. I decided to serve them with a Creamy Chipotle Avocado Dip. And don’t throw out those Pringles cans! Keep reading below to learn how to turn them into football vases and a game trophy as part of your tablescape decorations!
You’re going to need a few ingredients, but the dip is simple to make, just follow the recipe below.
- 3 Avocados
- ⅓ cup Mayonnaise
- 1 Tomato, chopped
- ½ Red or White Onion, chopped
- 2 Tbs. Chipotle Peppers, chopped
- 2 Tbs. Cilantro (optional)
- 2 Tbs. Lime Juice (approx. half a lime)
- 2-3 Cloves of Garlic or 1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp. Salt
- Pit and mash the avocados
- Wash the seeds from the Chipotle peppers and dice.
- Mix in the mayonnaise, tomato, onions, chipotle peppers, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, and salt.
- Add additional seasoning to taste.
- Note: it is best to add small amounts of chipotle peppers, cilantro, garlic and salt. Always easier to add more if needed.
- Serve with your favorite Pringles Tortilla chips or Cheez-Its Grooves.

- Pringles cans
- Brown spray paint
- Brown felt
- White felt
- Scissors
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- 8 oz Ball Mason jars (to hold the water)
NOTE: I used brown felt sheets available at craft stores. They fit the Pringles Tortilla can perfectly, whereas the regular Pringles cans are a bit taller and need to be spray painted first.
These are super simple to make and will look so cute on your table! If using the Pringles Tortilla can, simply use your glue gun to glue the brown felt sheet to the can. If using a regular Pringles can such as Original Flavor or Bacon, you will first need to spray paint the can brown, and then attach the brown felt with your glue gun. Next, cut out a long white strip and 5 smaller strips. I cut the smaller white strips twice as long than I needed and then glued the ends under so they looked more like they were laced. Once you have all your strips cut, simple glue them on. I then used two 8oz Mason Ball jars filled with water and carefully lowered one into each can. Then arrange your flowers, place on your table, and enjoy! Will you be hosting a Commercial Bingo Game during Sunday’s Big Game? If so, make this awesome gold trophy using your saved Pringles can and attach a gift card to award to the bingo game winner!
To make the trophy, you will need the following:
- Pringles can (with lid!)
- Gold spray paint
- Foam football
- Gold glitter cardstock
- Gold shimmery cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Optional: glue dot to attach gift card
This one is super easy as well! Simple take your Pringles can with lid and foam football (I found mine at the dollar store) and spray paint them gold. As they dry, cut out one large football shape and three smaller football shapes using your gold glitter cardstock. If you can’t freehand them, simple print out a clip-art image of a football and trace. Then use your gold shimmery cardstock and cut out football lines and laces to add to the gold glitter football shapes. Once the paint is dry and all your pieces are cut out, warm up the glue gun and attach the gold glitter footballs and the foam football to the top. If you’re using the trophy as a prize, use a glue dot to attach a gift card to the front. Super easy, right?I’ve shared a Big Game recipe and some crafts with you, how do you plan to celebrate the Big Game? Do you watch the game or are you only there for the food and commercials?
These are great ideas! I love the vases from the Pringles cans and can’t wait to make some for the Big Game! #client
