DIY Lavender Milk Bath Salts

I have never been more exhausted in my life. Everyone says that when you have kids you reach a crazy level of exhaustion where you just seem to keep doing everything you did before, plus take care of your kids. Well, I realize I’m a bit of a workaholic, but I think anyone who runs their own small business is, but I’m really trying to take better care of myself and practice more self-care. So I made some DIY Lavender Milk Bath Salts in an attempt to force myself to use them by taking some relaxing baths in the evenings after the twins have gone to bed. It hasn’t worked very many times yet because the bathtub either needs to be cleared of bath seats and bath toys from the twins’ baths or I’ve been using the bathtub as a soaking tub because Lucy peed on all the bedsheets again, but I will use these pretty little pots of relaxation and I plan to give a few away as gifts to friends.

These bath salts smell so good! A lavender milk salt bath is perfect for relaxing after a long day! The epsom salt is great for tired muscles, and the milk is great for your skin. Plus the lavender relaxes you right before bedtime.DIY Lavender Milk Bath Salts // Salty Canary

Below is the recipe, but you’ll need a few supplies including Epsom Salt, Himalayan Pink Salt, Powdered Milk, Lavender Essential Oil, and fresh, dried lavender. I stole my lavender from my neighbor, but if you don’t have a neighbor to steal from, you can purchase fresh dried lavender here. Also, I picked up a few of these cute little wooden spoons and velvet ribbon to top my upcycled jars for when I give these as gifts to friends. DIY Lavender Milk Bath Salts // Salty Canary

Combine 2 cups epsom salt, 1 cup himalyan pink salt, 1/2 cup powdered milk, and 40 drops of lavender essential oil. Mix with clean, bare or gloved hands to combine. Pour into jars and top with dried lavender buds.

And if you’re not in taking baths, I’ve got a couple recipes for sugar scrubs that are great for the shower including this Grapefruit Mint Sugar Scrub and this Pina Colada Sugar Scrub.
