Strawberry Basil Limeade
  • 2 cups strawberries, divided
  • 8 cups water, divided
  • 1¼ cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice (8-10 limes)
  • 1 cup basil, divided
  • 2 limes for garnish

  1. Wash the strawberries, then puree 1 cup strawberries with ⅓ cup basil in a blender with 1 cup of water.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the 1¼ cups of sugar with 1 cup of water and heat over medium until fully dissolved, about 12-15 minutes.
  3. While heating, juice your limes and slice your remaining cup of strawberries
  4. Then strain the pureed strawberry basil juice and fresh lime juice combine into a pitcher along with 6 cups of water.
  5. Add the sugar mixture and stir.
  6. Serve over ice, with extra basil leaves and sliced strawberries, and garnish with a lime wedge.
  7. Enjoy!
