Sriracha Ranch Popcorn Caramel Apples
Ingredients
  • 5 apples, de-waxed
  • 5 popsicle sticks
  • 1 bag of caramel bits
  • ½ cup Unpopped Popcorn (yields about 12 cups popped popcorn)
  • 1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil (or enough vegetable oil to lightly cover the bottom of your pot)
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 tsp Dry Ranch Mix
  • Pinch Salt
Instructions
  1. Remove the wax from the apples by dipping each apple into boiling water mixed with 2 tsp. vinegar for 4 seconds each and wipe off.
  2. Insert your popsicle sticks into the apple core.
  3. Refrigerate your apples while melting the caramel bits.
  4. Make your Sriracha popcorn (check my previous blog post for instructions) and have it ready for rolling the apple into it on a flat plate or tray.
  5. Melt your caramel bits according to manufacturer's instructions.
  6. Once the caramel is melted, dip each apple in caramel up to and including where the stick is inserted to seal the apple.
  7. Allow the excess caramel to drip off and scrape the bottom of the apple of excess caramel before rolling the apple in a plate of sriracha popcorn.
  8. Place apple on wax paper to harden.
  9. Repeat this process for the remaining apples.
  10. If popcorn falls off, simply add your extra caramel sauce to a squeeze tube and dazzle over the caramel apple and popcorn, reattaching any bits that have fallen off.
  11. Enjoy!
