Count Chocula Cereal Milk Donuts
Ingredients
  • Donuts:
  • 1½ cups of your cereal of choice
  • 1½ cups of milk
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • ¾ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Icing:
  • 1½ cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 4 Tbsp. cereal milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ½ - 1 cup cereal as topping
Instructions
  1. Start by soaking your cereal in the milk for about 20 minutes.
  2. Then combine your dry ingredients, the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt and add them to your mixer.
  3. After your cereal has soaked for 20 minutes, drain the liquid, keeping the milk, and toss the soggy cereal. Save 3 Tbsp. of the cereal milk for the icing.
  4. Start preheating your oven to 450 F.
  5. Then add your wet ingredients to your dry ingredients - the eggs, vanilla, melted butter and the rest of the cereal milk.
  6. Add ¼ cup of batter to each of your greased donut pan wells.
  7. Bake for 7-9 minutes.
  8. Let donuts sit for 5 minutes and then remove from the pan and move them to a cooling rack.
  9. Mix your icing. Ice your donuts and then top with extra cereal.
  10. The cereal will get soggy very fast, so only apply the icing and cereal when you're ready to serve the donuts.
  11. Enjoy!
