I feel like different parts of the US have different food trends and here in California we are all about the quick and easy, laid-back party prep. So, today I’m sharing a quick and easy California appetizer which is an Avocado, Mango, Salsa Cracker Appetizer!
I say it’s a quick and easy California appetizer because it pulls in very west coast ingredients with the avocado, mango, and salsa, plus it’s super easy to whip up and isn’t fussy! I feel like Californians don’t like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen prepping and making fussy food for a party. Is this true? Or is this just me? These are great for when friends stop by or you want to whip up something quick for a party, but want something a little more than just simple cheese and crackers! Plus, with any leftover salsa, avocado, and mango, simply stir it all together in a bowl and set out along with any leftover crackers for dipping.
Here’s the recipe:

Avocado, Mango, and Salsa Crackers
Ingredients
- 12 Crackers
- 1/2 avocado, cut lengthwise into 12 slices, then cut crosswise in half
- 6 fresh mango slices, cut in half
- 2 Tbsp. black bean and corn salsa
- 1 Tbsp. cilantro, diced
Instructions
- Top crackers with avocados.
- Add mangos.
- Spoon salsa over mangos.
- Sprinkle with cilantro.
This is giving me all sorts of appetizer ideas for summer get togethers! #client
