Thanksgiving Tablescape

(Sponsored Post)Cricut DIY Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot - Legal Miss SunshineDid you happen to see my Thanksgiving Tablescape yesterday? Usually we’re so busy cooking that we don’t have time to put together a decorated table. Well, that changes this year! I used my Cricut to DIY some Turkey and Feather place cards and a chalkboard Menu, and you can get all the DIY details on those right here. But today I want to talk about the rest of it.

Everything else can be purchased, here are the links:

The husband and I recently made a Thanksgiving “knock-off” dinner which is basically a Thanksgiving dinner, but switch out a roasted chicken for a roasted turkey. We made garlic roasted potatoes, steamed green beans, the roasted chicken, and some dinner rolls, and since it was such a fancy dinner (for us), we opened up a bottle of the La Crema Chardonnay. Now, full disclosure, I do not usually like chardonnay. My best friend even went so far as to label me a wine snob the other day (which I am NOT, I’m just particular as to my varietal and region, I’m picky, not a snob)! But, let me tell you, the La Crema Chardonnay is good! I normally don’t like chardonnay because I can’t stand overly sweet chards, like the kind you get when it’s a free glass at an event, but the La Crema Chardonnay isn’t too sweet, it’s slightly woodsy and buttery and went great with our “knock-off” Thanksgiving dinner. I’m saving the other bottle for the real Thanksgiving so I can pair it with turkey, mashed potatoes, and apple pie! Can’t wait until next Thursday!
