(Sponsored Post)Did you happen to see my Thanksgiving Tablescape yesterday? Usually we’re so busy cooking that we don’t have time to put together a decorated table. Well, that changes this year! I used my Cricut to DIY some Turkey and Feather place cards and a chalkboard Menu, and you can get all the DIY details on those right here. But today I want to talk about the rest of it.
Most of the table was thrifted or foraged from elsewhere in my house. My mom was going to giveaway the plates when she moved and I saved them, the pear napkin rings and large pears on the table were all thrifted and spray painted gold and spray-glittered, the amber water glasses were thrifted, the silverware and place card holders are from my wedding, and I found the bird salt and pepper shakers on Etsy. Everything else can be purchased, here are the links:
- The stemless clear crackle wine glasses are my favorites and they are from Pier 1.
- The napkins are from Cost Plus World Market.
- So are the placemats.
- You can find the Turkey Target and smaller round targets in my Etsy shop.
- The arrows are amazing and they are from Mineral and Matter.
- And the wine was generously donated by La Crema.
The husband and I recently made a Thanksgiving “knock-off” dinner which is basically a Thanksgiving dinner, but switch out a roasted chicken for a roasted turkey. We made garlic roasted potatoes, steamed green beans, the roasted chicken, and some dinner rolls, and since it was such a fancy dinner (for us), we opened up a bottle of the La Crema Chardonnay. Now, full disclosure, I do not usually like chardonnay. My best friend even went so far as to label me a wine snob the other day (which I am NOT, I’m just particular as to my varietal and region, I’m picky, not a snob)! But, let me tell you, the La Crema Chardonnay is good! I normally don’t like chardonnay because I can’t stand overly sweet chards, like the kind you get when it’s a free glass at an event, but the La Crema Chardonnay isn’t too sweet, it’s slightly woodsy and buttery and went great with our “knock-off” Thanksgiving dinner. I’m saving the other bottle for the real Thanksgiving so I can pair it with turkey, mashed potatoes, and apple pie! Can’t wait until next Thursday!
