If you love Disney and Disneyland and history, then you would love the Walt Disney Family Museum. It was so well done and beautifully laid out and HUGE. The mister and I were there for four hours! Every time we went around a corner, there was more! The museum has artifacts and drawings from Walt’s family and childhood, during the wars, the start of his business, his first drawings of Mickey, this ideas of Disneyland, some early Disneyland art and pieces, and so much more! I loved these paint color jars on display in the Technicolor section. And these menus from the various restaurants on the Walt Disney Studio lots were so cool!I find it so interesting how obsessed he was with having a CLEAN theme park. And Disneyland is still spotless to this day!Walt liked a good photo booth! The Walt Disney Family Museum was also hosting a Mary Blair exhibit. The exhibit runs through September 7th.The museum was wonderfully, and colorfully, laid out with various sections including her school work, early work, wallpaper designs, her work for Disney in Rio, various Disney film concept art for Cinderella, Peter Pan, and Alice in Wonderland, as well as her freelance art for Golden Books, scarves, and personal work she gave away as gifts.Of course I just LOVE her Alice in Wonderland concept art:
*All photographs, art, artifacts, etc. depicted in the hove photographs belong to The Walt Disney Family Museum.
