If you’ve been following along with the blog, you will have noticed that I’ve been on a s’mores kick lately! And today I’m sharing how to set up a Build Your Own S’mores Bar for your summer party.A Build Your Own S’mores Bar is the perfect summery dessert table! It’s a quick, easy solution for your party’s dessert. And if you don’t have an outdoor space to toast the marshmallows, it’s not a problem. Just pop a baking tray in the broiler for a bit to toast the marshmallows and melt the chocolate and you’re in business! If you want to treat your guests to some s’mores, you’re going to need all of the ingredients for s’mores: graham crackers, marshmallows, and milk chocolate bars!I like to use the Honey Maid Graham Cracker Squares because they are already cut in half, and if you’ve tried cutting a graham cracker in half, you know that half the time, it breaks. But the Honey Maid Graham Cracker Squares are awesome!
But it’s a Build Your Own S’mores Bar, so you’re going to need some extras: more marshmallows in different flavors, caramel syrup, caramel bits, strawberry syrup, salted caramel peanuts, sprinkles, coconut flakes, and even more marshmallows! When I went to purchase the marshmallows, I couldn’t believe how many different marshmallow varieties existed! Regular Jet Puffed Marshmallows, Mini Jet Puffed Marshmallows, Chocolate Brownie Marshmallows, Toasted Coconut Marshmallows, and Strawberry Marshmallows! No fire? No problem! Once your guests have built their s’mores, you can pop them onto a baking tray and into the broiler for 30-90 seconds (make sure to keep an eye on them, they will burn faster than you think!) to toast the marshmallows and then top with syrups and additional ingredients. But if you want to prep some pre-made s’mores for your guests to enjoy, I’ve got the step-by-step for a chocolate dipped and sprinkled oven toasted s’more!Instructions: Simply prep the bottom of the s’mores – graham cracker square with a marshmallow and a chocolate square. Toast it in the broiler for 30-90 seconds (depending on your broiler – just DON’T take your eyes off if it, trust me!) Then top with another graham cracker square. Next, melt a bag of chocolate chips on the stove top along with 1/4 cup of vegetable oil. Stir until melted. Once melted, dip your s’mores halfway in the melted chocolate and then dip into sprinkles. Allow to cool, serve, and enjoy!
And if you’re having a summer party, don’t forget to set up your s’mores bar!But you don’t need to set up a s’mores bar to have s’mores! Let’s make s’mores tonight because any day can be a S’mores Day! And if you’re looking for more inspiration, check out more s’mores recipes here.
