I went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter this week (which I like to call simply Harry Potter World) and ok, so I did not try ALL of the foods, but I did try ALL of the different versions of Butterbeer™ and some of the foods! First of all, the design and production of the buildings is just amazing! When I first saw photos of a snowy Harry Potter World on Instagram a few years ago, I thought they were photos of a real place in Europe and I just had to know where it was so I could visit! Then I glanced down at the caption and saw it was in Florida … But let’s get back to the food! It is NOT your typical theme park cheeseburgers, pizza, and chicken nuggets! Between the delicious, hearty entrees at The Three Broomsticks, the 5 different versions of Butterbeer, and the colorful candy and sweets at Honeydukes, there is something for everyone at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
And I recommend you start your day with a refreshing mug of Butterbeer! I tried all three drink versions of Butterbeer, and the cold Butterbeer was my favorite, although I could see how the Frozen Butterbeer or the Hot Butterbeer would be great for hot or cold days. The cold Butterbeer tastes like a butterscotch cream soda with a thick, sweet cream on top! The trick? Don’t drink it right away and let the butterscotch sweet cream rise a bit. And no, there is no alcohol in Butterbeer, but those wanting a drink can order one at the Hog’s Head Pub.
After some Butterbeer, check out some more of the park and ride a rollercoaster!
And then when you’re hungry for lunch, head over to The Three Broomsticks, a rustic, British tavern that serves traditional fare such as a Rotisserie Smoked Chicken Platter, Beef Sunday Roast, a Beef, Lamb, and Guinness Stew, and Bangers and Mash.
You can’t go wrong with nearly every entrée at The Three Broomsticks – like I said before, this isn’t your standard amusement park food! But be sure to save some room for dessert because the Butterbeer Potted Cream is to die for! It’s a Butterbeer pudding topped with a butterscotch glaze and a decadent whipped cream and I could eat at least 3! But if Butterbeer Potted Cream or Sticky Toffee Pudding isn’t your thing, then head over to the candy shoppe at Honeydukes!
At Honeydukes you’ll find chocolate frogs, huge flies, candy rats, and jelly beans that taste like vomit! And you can also purchase some Butterbeer Fudge in case you want to bring some Butterbeer home for friends and family!
Explore the rest of the shops and make your way to Hog’s Head Pub for an afternoon drink!
I don’t know why the line at Hog’s Head Pub isn’t longer. I mean, they serve Butterbeer AND booze! So if the line at the cart is too long, duck into the pub for a Frozen Butterbeer on a hot day or a second Butterbeer for an afternoon snack! Pro tip: order a Butterbeer with a shot of Bailey’s! The bartender can’t mix the two, but you can! Or, if it actually ever cools off here in LA, grab a hot Butterbeer which tastes just like a butterscotch hot chocolate! It’s a seasonal drink, so grab one while it lasts.
I still haven’t read or watched the Harry Potter books or movies, (shocking, I know!) I’m just a huge theme park fan! I think the devil is in the details at theme parks, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter nails it!

Do you get to keep the butter beer cups? They look plastic...my kids would love those as souvenirs!

You do! They are plastic, but they are yours to keep!

Okay, first of all, your pictures are absolutely gorgeous! I love this post so much, I'm definitely going to pin it to refer to when I go visit next month! Also, I think they need to make an alcoholic version of butterbeer! I'm not sure why that's not already a thing, but it definitely should be, especially with all of the other options they offer.
Xoxo, Olivia
