Ok, these guys seriously crack me up! I’m not sure if they’re donuts or donuts posing as Mr. Potato Heads posing as donuts. But they seriously make me laugh and I’m sure kiddos will LOVE them and will love making them! I can’t tell who’s more scared – me or the Donut? Doesn’t he look scared? Like, “Ahhhh, you don’t vant to eat me!” And the lady vamp? Seriously makes me laugh!!! These are pretty easy to make once you know the tricks! It’s not easy cramming those vampire teeth into a small donut hole – the trick is to cut the teeth in half and just stab them into the donut. The other trick is to purchase donuts! I’m all for homemade, but when you get busy, just buy the premade and don’t stress! So after stabbing the donuts with the teeth, I attached little eyes using some melted candy melt. Then I dripped cookie icing in red down the fangs and made little blood drips down the donut’s … chin. Yup, these donuts have chins! Each time I used the cookie icing, I put the donut in the fridge after so the icing would harden. That stuff can be tricky. And then I applied the Dracula widow’s peak hair using black icing and then let them sit in the fridge for a bit. How cute would these be for a kid’s Halloween party or to make with kids? I mean, I was making these with my husband and he was having such a great time – he was raiding the candy bowl trying to come up with other things to add to the donuts.
