Korakia Pensione Palm Springs Review

I know Palm Springs is kinda known for being an awesome pool party spot, a place for the LA party kids to escape to on the weekend. But, if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway to the desert, I’m going to let you in on my secret: Korakia Pensione. It’s one of my favorite places to stay in Palm Springs. No kids, no loud music by the pool, and super romantic! It’s actually more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel.Korakia Pensione in Palm Springs | Salty Canary

Korakia Pensione Palm Springs Review

If I’m vacationing in Palm Springs, odds are that I’m staying at the Korakia Pensione. I’ve stayed at a few other places, but nothing compares to Korakia.

When you arrive, you’re greeted by a couple gorgeous doors in a Mediterranean courtyard.

The hotel is split into two areas, A Moroccan Villa and a Mediterranean Villa, one on either side of the street, and each side has a salt-water pool. I prefer to stay in the Mediterranean Villa. It’s a bit quieter and I like the rooms and the pool better. There’s quite a few loungers around the pool as well as a cute outdoor bed, perfect for afternoon napping.

And if you get tired of sitting by the pool, there’s always bocce ball!

And the rooms are amazing! Most of them have kitchenettes, so you can bring some drinks and snacks to enjoy poolside. But if you forget, don’t worry, lunch is offered for purchase (typically a mozzarella and basil panini) and is served poolside. And Downtown Palm Springs is just an easy walk away for dinner.

Moroccan Tea is served in the afternoon. And how amazing is that side table?!?

And the most amazing, complimentary breakfast is served each morning in the Moroccan courtyard. I miss most complimentary hotel breakfasts, but I’ve never missed breakfast at Korakia!

The hotel has so many gorgeous details around every corner!

And at night, staff lights a ton of candles, lanterns, and fire pits around the property and really illuminates the property! Vintage movies are shown on the yoga deck. And the pools are open 24 hours and it’s an awesome way to end a hot evening after dinner with a quick dip in the pool.

I highly recommend a stay at Korakia Pensione if you’re looking for a quiet retreat or a romantic weekend. I highly recommend the Acropolis Suite, the Ionean Bungalow, and the Aegean Bungalow. But I’ve also stayed in the Syros room and the Marrakech Suite and I can’t complain about either!

This post was NOT sponsored, I just really enjoy this spot in Palm Springs.
