Visiting Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart in Las Vegas: A Complete Guide

Las Vegas is famous for casinos, world class entertainment, and larger-than-life attractions, but one of the city’s most unforgettable experiences can be found just west of the Strip at Area15. Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart is part art installation, part immersive theater, part interactive playground, and part mystery adventure. It is unlike anything else in Las Vegas.

Whether you are visiting with friends, exploring as a family, or looking for one of the most unique attractions in the city, Omega Mart offers a fascinating journey into a bizarre and colorful alternate reality.

What Is Omega Mart?

At first glance, Omega Mart appears to be a strange grocery store filled with unusual products. Shelves are stocked with items such as moth milk, mammoth chunks, unexpected cleaning supplies, and fictional brands with humorous packaging. It feels a little odd, but still somewhat normal.

Then you start seeing weird stuff in the store. Like little carrot worlds. Or how the butter packages slowly have an existential crisis. Or the tattooed and sliced art meat!

Then you discover the hidden doors. Behind refrigerators, shelves, and seemingly ordinary displays lies an enormous network of surreal environments filled with glowing tunnels, alien landscapes, futuristic offices, secret passages, and interactive exhibits. The grocery store is only the beginning.

Created by the innovative arts collective Meow Wolf, Omega Mart combines immersive art, storytelling, technology, and exploration into one massive experience. Guests can simply wander and enjoy the artwork or dive deeper into the mystery surrounding the fictional company behind the store, Dramcorp.

I didn’t have it in me to do the full experience and try to solve the mystery, so I just looked around and explored, but I saw several groups actually trying to figure it out!

The Story Behind Meow Wolf

Meow Wolf began as a group of artists in Santa Fe, New Mexico who wanted to create interactive art experiences that encouraged visitors to explore rather than simply observe. Their projects quickly gained popularity for their imaginative storytelling and hands-on environments.

Today, Meow Wolf operates several large-scale immersive exhibitions across the United States, but Omega Mart has become one of its most famous creations. Since opening in Las Vegas in 2021, it has attracted visitors from around the world who are eager to experience its blend of art, mystery, and adventure.

How to Visit Omega Mart

Omega Mart is located inside Area15, an entertainment district just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.

It is highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance, especially during weekends, holidays, and peak travel seasons. Timed entry tickets help manage crowd levels and ensure visitors have enough space to explore.

NOTE: If you’re on the Area15 site, it makes it seem like you need to purchase an Experience Level 3A Pass (about $129) in order to visit Omega Mart, but you can just purchase Omega Mart tickets on the Omega Mart site starting at $45.

Don’t get confused-scammed! If you just want to do Omega Mart, purchase directly from Omega Mart. Or purchase tickets when you get there!

Most guests spend between two and four hours inside Omega Mart. Some visitors stay even longer while investigating every clue and hidden area. I was probably there for about an hour and half just exploring the grocery store items and then the back areas, no solving.

Comfortable shoes are a must. The experience involves a surprising amount of walking, climbing stairs, slides, and exploring different environments.

Tips for Your Visit

  • Book tickets ahead of time.
  • Arrive early to explore Area15 before entering Omega Mart.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • Bring a fully charged phone for photos and interactive elements.
  • Take your time. Some of the most interesting details are easy to miss.
  • Look closely at product labels, signs, and displays for clues and jokes.

What to Expect Inside

The best way to experience Omega Mart is with a sense of curiosity.

There is no single correct path through the attraction. Visitors are encouraged to explore freely and discover hidden rooms at their own pace. Every corner contains surprising details, interactive elements, and visual effects.

You may find yourself:

  • Crawling through secret passages
  • Discovering hidden portals
  • Exploring futuristic laboratories
  • Wandering through glowing forests
  • Investigating mysterious offices
  • Solving clues connected to the overarching story
  • Interacting with digital exhibits and technology

Or just shop the grocery store! Most items in the grocery store are actually for sale. I’m pretty sure the Moth Milk that I bought is empty, but some of the items actually have food inside.

The experience appeals to a wide range of visitors. Art lovers appreciate the creativity, photographers enjoy the colorful environments, and mystery fans often become deeply invested in uncovering the story. Even if you completely ignore the narrative, Omega Mart remains a visually stunning attraction that rewards exploration.

Grab a Drink at Datamosh

Adults visiting Omega Mart should make time for a stop at Datamosh, the attraction’s hidden bar tucked away within the surreal world of Omega Mart. Finding it feels like discovering yet another secret hidden within Omega Mart’s ever-expanding universe.

Staying true to the immersive theme, the bar feels like a futuristic lounge from another dimension, complete with colorful lighting, unusual decor, and creative cocktails. The menu features a variety of alcoholic drinks, including specialty cocktails inspired by the bizarre world of Omega Mart, along with beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options.

What Else to Do at Area15

Many visitors spend an entire day exploring Area15. The complex features a variety of immersive attractions, art installations, entertainment venues, restaurants, and bars. All of the different attractions are priced individually or you can purchase an Experience Pass bundle or even a 1, 2, or 3-day pass.

Oh! Looks like a Museum of Ice Cream outpost will be opening in July 2026 with a slide into a sprinkle pool! I enjoyed the Museum of Ice Cream when it was here in Los Angeles in 2017, so I would probably do the one in Vegas!

There’s also a John Wick Experience and a year-round, “not-just-at-Halloween” Universal Horror Unleashed.

Museum Fiasco

Museum Fiasco is a quirky attraction that combines puzzles, visual illusions, and interactive exhibits. It offers a fun complement to Omega Mart’s surreal environment.

Wink World

Created by artist Chris Wink of Blue Man Group fame, Wink World is a colorful journey through multiple rooms filled with lights, sound, and visual effects.

Haley’s Comet

For thrill seekers, Haley’s Comet is an indoor suspended hang-glide type ride that glides above portions of Area15 and provides a unique perspective of the complex.

The Beast

I had dinner at The Beast before exploring Omega Mart and I would recommend it! It was a good burger and glass of wine!

Land Acknowledgement

Salty Canary wants to acknowledge that we live, operate, gather, and benefit every day on the traditional stolen lands of several Indigenous peoples and nations including the Tongva (Gabrieleno), Kizh (Gabrieleno), Chumash, Popeloutchom (Amah Mutsun), Ohlone, Awaswas, and Fernandeño Tataviam peoples who have stewarded the lands and waterways throughout their many generations in what is now the state of California. I wanted to personally acknowledge these Indigenous people and nations and both their commitment and current contributions to the land with a donation to the American Indian College Fund because acknowledgment without action does not begin to address the systemic issues facing Indigenous people. If you feel as though you benefit from the land you’re living on or traveling to and you have the means, I kindly ask that you donate to a Native-led organization such as the Native American Rights Fund or the American Indian College Fund
