Caesar Salad on a Stick Appetizer Recipe

This easy, no-cook, Caesar Salad on a Stick Appetizer recipe is perfect for the holidays! It’s simple enough to put together that it won’t add too much prep time to your day and because it’s a salad appetizer it won’t spoil the main meal. Plus, it looks and sounds fancy!

Caesar Salad on a Stick Appetizer Recipe

Honestly, you don’t even need a recipe for this appetizer, but I will include one below in case you want to print it out as a reminder for the holidays.

Simply start with a chunk of parmesan cheese on a knotted skewer stick followed by a few ribbons of romaine lettuce, a crouton, and a cherry tomato. Serve it with a small condiment cup of Caesar dressing (and if you want to get super fancy) sprinkle the tray with freshly grated parmesan cheese.

It’s an appetizer. It’s supposed to tide guests’ tummies over until the main meal. It’s doesn’t have to be super filling.

Caesar Salad on a Stick Ingredients:

  • Romaine Lettuce
  • Cherry Tomatos
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Croutons
  • Caesar Dressing

Recommended Kitchen Equipment or Tools:

How to Make Caesar Salad on a Stick:

Start by washing your romaine lettuce. Pro tip: use a salad spinner to quickly “dry” it.

Then wash your tomatoes.

Next, cut your parmesan cheese into small chunks. Pro tip: splurge on a slightly pricier, aged parmesan cheese wedge.

And finally assemble! Thread a chunk of parmesan cheese onto your skewer stick, then a couple romaine leaves (fold them to make them look prettier with the edges to the “back”), followed by one crouton, and finally a cherry tomato on the end.

Pour some Caesar salad dressing into small condiment cups and arrange your Caesar salad sticks and cups on a serving tray or platter. Top with a sprinkle of freshly grated parmesan cheese.

I think these are a bit Christmas-y with the the red and green and white. But really, they’re delicious anytime!

More Appetizer Ideas:

I didn’t include exact measurements or sizes or numbers in the recipe below because I don’t know how many people you’re hosting and how many appetizer sticks you want to make. Just make sure you have enough cheese. You can never serve too much cheese!

Tomato, crouton, romaine lettuce, and a cube of parmesan cheese speared by a toothpick, leaning against a white condiment cup on a serving platter.
